New Tower Element: Arcane
Arcane is the counterpart to Iron, it is the element of magic itself. Arcane towers focus on mana, spells and mechanics relying on mana. Every Arcane tower is designed to be hungry for more mana and mana regeneration through powerful abilities with high costs and short cooldowns.

If you're worried about immune enemies, do not fret, as there are an assortment of towers that remove mana from enemies, thereby disabling immunity. In fact, many existing creep abilities have been reworked to also rely on a creep's mana, so stripping enemies of their mana is largely beneficial.

Oil Shop
Tired of gold and bounty stats losing their worth after a certain point? Visit the oil shop!

Don't expect to have access to the best goods immediately though. You initially only have access to the lowest tier of oils and must buy 4x of each oil in order to unlock the next tier, with each increasing in cost.

You might want to hold onto those bounty oils.

Tileset Variations
YouTD will be released with multiple tileset variations. Starting with the Sunken Ruins tileset you are familiar with, alongside a new Icecrown version. It's basically YouTD light and dark mode.

More Loot
Item drop rate has been doubled! However, the amount of item chance from most sources has halved. This makes item drops feel less feast or famine with regards to stacking item chance or not.

Save Codes: Gone
Players now all begin from level 0, and level up throughout the game. Spend points at the Keeper of Wisdom as you get them.

New Game Mode Setting: Global XP
With Global XP enabled, every tower will gain experience when a creep dies but each level will require substantially more experience points per level. Further more, any new towers placed will retroactively gain experience. Use those XP oils wisely.

Force Point Research Bonus
You might not want to recycle those force point books anymore as each element has an associated stat bonus that boosts your towers with each level researched. For example, each level of Storm research provides attack speed.

New Autospawn Functionality
You can now set up autospawn to spawn the next wave AFTER the current wave is defeated.

Debuff Duration -> Debuff Resistance
The debuff duration stat had little relevance in the game since enemies tended to spam their debuffs anyways, plus enemy auras were not affected. The debuff resistance stat instead reduces the effect that creep debuffs have on a tower. It will still reduce the duration of binary effects though, such as stun.

New Creep Modifiers
8 new creep modifiers have been added. Just to name a few:
  • Brittle: these creeps have increase health, but take extra damage from crits.
  • Cowardly: these creeps get a speed boost when they witness a death
Doubled Attack Speed Limit
The game engine does not allow a unit to exceed 500% attack speed. Through some mathematical magic, we have doubled that limit.
