Manaburn is an awkward effect because it does nothing when there is no mana to burn.
You could easily have 8+ towers burning 10 mana every second (attack speed dependent) which would drain pretty much anything in 3 seconds. If the tower started at 0 mana, by the end of those 3 seconds it would have about 48% mana, which may keep it from being too effective.
It's something I'd have to see in action before I can understand how good it is at the things it does. Ship it, see how it goes.
